Prerequisites to Become a Ladies Driving Instructor in Birmingham
Hold a Driving Licence
To become a female driving instructor, just make sure you’ve held your driving licence for at least 3 years and have no more than 6 points on it.
Obtain a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) Disclosure Number
Register as a Potential Driving Instructor (PDI)
Once you have received your criminal records check disclosure number, you can register as a PDI (Potential Driving Instructor). You will receive a Personal Reference Number (PRN) allowing you to book your tests.
ADI Part One
Theory Test – A classroom style test which will involve a multiple choice part and a hazard perception test.
ADI Part Two
Theory Test – A classroom style test which will involve a multiple choice part and a hazard perception test.
ADI Part Three
Instructional Ability test – You will be assessed on your teaching ability. This test will consist of you conducting a lesson with a pupil whilst an examiner observes you..
Trainee Licence Option
After successfully completing Part Two, you have the option to apply for a trainee licence (Pink Badge). This will allow you to start teaching pupils and earning at the same time. This will also provide you with the necessary experience and knowledge to complete Part Three of the course successfully.
